• Individual Income Taxes

At Classic Tax and Accounting we prepare income tax returns for a wide variety of clients. We prepare 1040 EZ for clients with only W-2s. We also have clients with multiple businesses, rentals, farms and investment sales. We work with college students, new families, established families and retired or retiring people.

We offer electronic filing at no additional charge to anyone eligible for e-file. We prepare state returns for multiple states if you moved this year, or had investments or employment out of state.

If you are behind, we will file previous year returns and help you to deal with the IRS to help keep them happy while you get caught up. We'll review your last year's return to see if we can amend it to give you additional money back.

When selecting a tax professional, it is important to make sure you are dealing with a reputable firm and a credentialed preparer. It is also important to pay only for credentials that help you. For example, an individual does not necessarily need someone who is experienced in auditing large companies. You need someone experienced in tax preparation and able to represent you in an audit with the IRS.

Only an Enrolled Agent has passed a comprehensive 2-day exam dedicated exclusively to tax preparation, tax law and tax ethics. An Enrolled Agent is authorized to represent you before the IRS in the event of an audit.

By law, the Enrolled Agent is required to complete continuing education each year. This is not a requirement of an unenrolled tax preparer.

Classic Tax and Accounting has two Enrolled Agents that can represent any of our clients before the IRS. Of course, our goal is to not need this service!
